This 7-week class is an opportunity:
To increase the ability of families to advocate for the needs of children and youth with special health care needs, and to encourage more families to take on leadership roles.
- Learn about the history of Disability Rights Movement and explore how the legislative process works.
- Tell your story in a way that translates your personal experience into systems wide action.
- Gain strategies for identifying and participating in leadership activities.
- Recognize and apply the value of parent network and mentoring connections.
